Fabrika Decoru March Inspiration

Hi guys!
I'm back again to bring you some inspiration for Fabrika Decoru's March moodboard.

Initially when I'm attempting this moodboard, I thought that it is a challenging combination of colours, but after delving myself into the project, everything came naturally and it became a breeze to create. So if you felt challenged with this moodboard, don't worry! Take things slowly and have fun along the way!

I'm also inspired by More than Words Challenge of using a butterfly! It's so coincidental since I was ready to grab my butterfly stamp and dies set from Sizzix.

This is my take of the challenge moodboard. Instead of being influenced by the picture from Fabrika Decoru, I was more attracted to the colour scheme although it was quite challenging for me initially.

I had used assorted Fabrika Decoru's watercolour inks (which I'll link them down below), and I had purposely coloured them at different sections of the canvas and the star as I want to prevent the colours from muddying up. This would usually occur when you layer colours before drying each layer, or when you layer contrasting colours (i.e. green and purple).

That's all for my post!

Enjoy Freedom using Fabrika Decoru's Supplies

Hi guys!

I'm back to showcase a canvas piece I did for Fabrika Decoru in their
launch of a new collection 'Enjoy Freedom'.

The entire new range of products includes a patterned paper collection, assorted patterned papers ideal for fussy-cutting, watercolouring etc. and chipboards!

I personally ADORE the paper collection (click the picture below to head to the store!).
This paper collection comes with 10 sheets of double-sided 12x12 inches patterned paper.
There's a good selection of papers ideal for backgrounds and fussy-cutting. The paper is considerably thick (at 200g/m2), it was good enough for me to do watercolours on it (stay tuned to my new video tutorial scheduled in the following weeks).

Most importantly, LOOK AT THE COLOURS!

How are you not a fan of galactic colours??
I loved that the colours are vibrant and strong, it's so easy to capture attention to your piece.

So this was what I came out with.

I had basically used the first page of the paper pack, which was just what you see at the picture above. I cut the paper into strips with different patterns on it and tear down the edges to give a distress feel.

Here's the list of supplies I used.

That's all for this week!
