Altered Beer Bottle with Fabrika Decoru's Products

Hi Guys!

I'm super excited to show you my altered piece - Mixed Media Vase made from a beer bottle!

My inspiration of this mixed media vase came from my desire to find something to how these pretty dried flowers I have gotten. I realized the vases I had in my house were too modern or unsuitable for these flowers. So with a beer on my hand, I was inspired to create something from scratch and something that was rustic and grungy in contract with the femininity of the flowers.

Texture pastes are always my best friend when I'm making altered piece. It feels good to hold and its pleasant to the eyes you know? I had used crackle paint and Fabrika Decoru's Marble Particles Texture Paste (FDTPM150) to create all these rustic surface!

I had coiled burlap strings at the bottom of the bottle and using crackle paint over stencil to create some patterns.

Textures, textures and textures!
I wished you could see how this shine in real life! I had mixed gold glitters with clear vanish to protect the textured surface from chipping. The vase is shimmery!
