Prima Marketing Inc BAP and 13 arts February Challenge

HI GUYS!

For this post, I created a piece of canvas using Prima Marketing's colour palette as well as Bingo from 13 arts. I'm really inspired by Prima's colour palette, everything looks so sweet and pastel, fit for Valentine's day!

As for 13 arts' bingo, I think most of the items in the bingo are something that a crafter can use easily! For me, I managed to strike off the horizontal middle row and rightmost vertical column.

I first primed my canvas with a coat of heavy gesso.

This red trim was actually the wrapping of a present given to me. Haha. I trimmed it and gesso-ed it down onto the canvas.

Then I started applying colours. I basically sprayed 13 arts' pastel mists onto my craft sheet, add a splash of iridescent medium from Winsor and Newton and applied it all over my canvas.

I stamped with Staz On Black ink with the new stamp Messy from Prima Finnabair that was released in Winter CHA 2015.

I also used modelling paste with the new Prima Finnabair stencils - Weaving.

Decided to intensify the colours. So I brushed on more colours from my mists as well as gesso as highlights.

Then I started embellishing! Those paper frames are from Kaisercraft and flowers and lace trims are from Prima. :)

Here are some close ups! :)

You can see I added more details like Prima's glitters and glass beads. The gold paste behind the glitters and beads are actually gold mica powder from Finnabair mixed with heavy matte gel. IT'S SO PRETTY! :))

HERE IS THE FINAL LOOK OF THE CANVAS! :))

I had fun making this canvas as this colour palette is probably my favourite colour combination as well as (especially!) using the new products from Winter CHA.

Layout using Recycled/Unwanted Supplies

Hi Guys!

It's been a long time since I last blogged. I have been really busy and trying to find time to scrap and blog. Haha. Scrapping makes me happy so I try to find time to scrap as well as using this time to destress. Haha.

Anyway, this layout is something I did a few weeks ago. Most of the supplies here are actually unwanted or recycled products from my scrapbooking friends, including the papers and some of the embellishments.

I actually found this photo when I was looking through my old photos from my Europe backpacking trip. This picture was taken in Lafayette Paris. I was super mind blown by the structure of this building. It doesn't look like a shopping mall, it looks like a theatre! I enjoyed my time shopping there, though it effectively made me poorer. HAHAHAHA.

I first primed this Kaisercraft paper with Prima Finnabair Clear Gesso. After that I intensify the 'antiqueness' of the paper with sprays from Tattered Angels and Tim Holtz Stain Spray.

After that I start stamping! I used Kaisercraft script stamp with Black Stazon as well as Prima Pastel Blue ink edger. As you can see, I build my layout in a way that the visual effect will be vertical from top to bottom, but actually as the layout proceeds, I change the visual effect to horizontal instead. Haha. It's actually pretty fun to see how things ended up so different from what I had planned.

I added Finnabair White Crackle Texture Paste with Finnabair stencil.

This is how it looks like after it dried. :)

Now the background is done, I start working on the embellishments.

This is actually a chipboard die cut with Sizzix dies. I altered it with Art Anthology's Dimensional Paint then brushed on a their White Sand Texture Paste for added texture.

Now, take a look at the final look of this layout!

See I actually change the direction of the layout? I actually like this arrangement more than the one I had planned. I also cut up the edges of the chipboard and framed it behind the photo.

Here are some close ups. :))

That's all for today. :)

Stay tuned for next week's post. :)

BUH-BYE!
